Brother TD-4D Printers Can Do ‘Linerless’

Today we’re talking about the brother TD-4D liner list label printer.

This is a four-inch capable thermal label tag and receipt printer. The brother, TD-4D has a compact ergonomic design that makes it easy to place and roll around on carts for use cases such as label creation, picking in the retail warehouse or distribution center.

This printer has distinctive mounting points on top that will allow you to mount a tablet directly on top of the printer for more of a unified and compact design.

The brother TD-4D comes with many connectivity options including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, connected LAN and USB cable. One of the distinct features that I always like to talk about with brother printers is their ability to do apple airplay, making them a great option for Apple environments.

Now this brother printer is actually very versatile and can be open from either side easily. It handles media up to four inches. Let me show you how to load this three inch liner list label roll. First, we get a little bit going up. It has got a spindle list design, which allows us to just pull apart these little green tabs and push it in.

Now while I’m in here, I’ll just show you that there are very few moving parts involved here and has easy maintenance, as well as lots of metal brackets where those are beneficial for the durability of this printer. Now I’m loading it through making sure that I get it all the way in under these tabs and seated correctly. Close the cover nice and firmly, and feed, and we’re ready to print.

Now for a quick demonstration of how easy it is to print to this printer, I’ve got my iPhone here ready to print a three by three label on this printer. I’ve got this label here. I’ve got it as a demo, so it’s just using Word at the moment. I’m going to hit print, select air, print, and print. Now you see the printer will come to life.

What is printing here for me is a liner list label. Now this is a huge time savings in retail environments where these labels could be printed in mass quantities and easily be taken and applied directly to the product. In addition to having the time savings benefit in a retail environment, the Liner list role could also have more labels per role than a traditional role, which has sustainability benefits with reduced shipping cost and reduced waste.

The brother, TD-4D also has improved thermal image print capabilities and can print at up to eight inches per second with a print job being an entire roll if needed. There are far more metal parts in the print head and roller, and the print head is replaceable in the field without the need for any special tools.
