It’s something we weave into our daily business practices and a goal we stress with our customers as we help them leverage the benefits of mobile technology and meet their own sustainability goals. From reducing paper in workflows through digital transformation to finding ways to get the most out of mobile devices, sustainability is something we’re always thinking about and striving for ourselves and for our customers. Sustainability in Our Services
Responsible and Sustainable Recycling
Discarded electronics are a significant source of toxic materials in landfills. That's why Stratix focuses on reselling and reusing devices whenever possible. Our high-speed Mobile Integration Center holds ISO 14001, 9001, and 45001 certifications, the international standard for environmental management. When equipment is truly at end-of-life, we ensure that it's recycled responsibly in compliance with state and federal law. We also work hard to recycle packing materials to keep as much of it out of landfills as possible.
Workflow Consolidation Equals Less Environmental Impact
Reducing the number of mobile devices needed in an organization is a significant environmental goal, so Stratix focuses on multi-use devices that can be used across workflows. For example, instead of having separate scanners in supply chain and inventory workflows, a single device can be used for everything from scanning to customer service. Our solution architects take the time to study our customers' environment to put together a sustainable solution that's right for them.

Stratix offers highly secure and compartmentalized "bring your own device" (BYOD) solutions, so personal devices can be used for work—eliminating the need to buy extra equipment.
Sustainability in Technical Support
Sending a device in for repair when it can be fixed in the field unnecessarily adds to carbon emissions and downtime. Stratix remote technical support team have an excellent track record of reducing so-called "no fault found" returns. There's the environmental benefit, and it helps organizations meet their productivity goals. When a device does need repair, Stratix’s expert OEM-authorized repair services ensure the work is done properly—helping extend the lifespan of equipment.
Reducing Device Numbers with Spare Pools
A significant way to cut the number of devices an organization needs is to have a small spare pool on standby when something breaks. It's far more efficient, and broken devices are returned to the pool after repair. Spare pools can be kept locally and replenished with bulk shipments when necessary to reduce carbon emissions.
Ensuring Just the Right Amount
Stratix leverages solutions like our proprietary itrac360 asset tracking and telecom expense management platforms to report to customers what devices are in service and what are not being used. Underutilized equipment can be redistributed to other areas. It saves customers money when they don't have to buy as much, and it's environmentally friendly.
Less Air Pollution Through Enhanced Fleet Management
Stratix leverages smart routing solutions for picking up and dropping off devices at the school districts we support. It's far more efficient and helps us reduce emissions.
Fewer Trucks On The Road
Partnering with GPC and Intel, Stratix has helped less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers improve their logistics with a 3D dimensioning solution that accurately measures irregularly shaped shipments. It means they can load trucks more efficiently to get the most out of every truckload—which reduces overall emissions.
Stratix Internal ESG Initiatives
Less Energy
Stratix's buildings are energy-efficient with lighting and HVAC on computerized control systems complete with occupancy sensors. Wherever possible, we encourage remote work for employees to minimize emissions caused by commuting.
Reduced Footprint
Stratix eliminated single-use cups over a half decade ago and all toner cartridges, paper, and carboard are recycled. For service and repair, Stratix's environmental management systems are ISO 14001 certified. All E-waste is collected and sent to our downstream recycling vendor. Trash bins are checked daily to ensure no E-waste is sent to the landfill. Wherever possible, we donate items like device cases and accessories to groups that repurpose them.
