Stratix Cares
Giving Back to the Community
Stratix is committed to playing a positive role in our local community, primarily through employee involvement. Our central focus is education for children and community initiatives that are important to our teammates. We're dedicated to serving our community beyond the workplace, and our fierce passion for that drives us to continue our philanthropic volunteerism year after year.
The Road to 40k for 40 years
For 40 years, Stratix has operated in the metro Atlanta area, and the community has supported us through our ups and downs. To give back, we have pledged to donate 40k in time, material, and money to local charities. Our community has cared for us, and we want to give back.
Thrive Together
For the past five years, Stratix has supported Thrive Together (formerly SAFFT) by collecting gifts each holiday season for the families it supports. Last holiday season, Stratix employees collected over 400 toys and items through our annual toy drive for children in foster care. Thrive Together has created an environment unique in Georgia to protect society's most neglected and abused children in foster care. These children are served through the Thrive Together Family Life Center, which provides family and sibling visitations, a clothing and resource closet, scholarships, and a powerful life skills and mentoring program that builds them up. This organization was started by a past Stratix teammate! To learn more visit: https://thrivetogetherga.org/
Local School Drives
Stratix teammates work with organizations like The Children's Restoration Network (CRN) and Gwinnett County's Fill the Bus program to collect school supplies for children in our community. Each year, CRN works with over 6,000 homeless children to give them the tools they need to succeed and break the cycle of homelessness.
Equal Justice Initiative
In honor of Juneteenth, Stratix supports the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) by donating to this great cause. Stratix teammates show support, and Stratix matches every dollar that they contribute. The EJI is an organization that has committed itself to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, as well as challenging racial and human rights injustices. Georgia Equality
Georgia Equality is dedicated to advocating for fairness, safety, and opportunity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities throughout the state. In honor of Pride Month, Stratix has donated to the Equality Foundation of Georgia. Not only does the Equality Foundation of Georgia advocate for fairness, but it also provides educational solutions and voter registration opportunities for the community. Building a Love for Reading Early
At Stratix, we recognize the benefits of early childhood education. Children's imaginations need to be nurtured and encouraged. Stratix is proud to support our local library system's summer reading programs by collecting books to donate. To learn more about Gwinnett County Public Library's summer reading program, visit: https://www.gwinnettpl.org/foundation/donate-now/
Our support also extends to the Let's Read Program. Our successful book drives for childhood literacy have given children in need the opportunity to read and grow. To learn about the Let's Read Program, visit: https://www.christchildatlanta.org/literacy-program
Lost-N-Found Youth
Lost-n-Found Youth is an Atlanta-based nonprofit that exists to end homelessness for LGBTQ+ youth.. Our Teammates host donation drives for the center, gathering much-needed supplies, gently used clothing, and other lightly used items. These items are then taken to the thrift store run by the center, where 100% of the profits are used to support youth in need. For more information, visit: https://www.lnfy.org/
Jonathan's Landing Foundation
Jonathan's Landing Foundation helps create a life of dignity, purpose, and belonging for neurodiverse adults through innovative neuroinclusive housing solutions and career development. Its division, Techtonic—a 501(c)(3) business—employs highly trained technicians who experience autism and other neurodiversities. Stratix partners with Techtonic for IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services that enable companies to recoup the maximum value for end-of-life devices—even after they've been fully depreciated—by donating instead of selling them for scrap. Helping Children Learn
Stratix CEO Louis Alterman believes strongly in the importance of education and focuses most of his charity work on helping disadvantaged students get ahead. An example is the Ron Clark Academy. where he's served in the past as chairman of the board. The internationally recognized nonprofit middle school in southeast Atlanta features a groundbreaking learning environment that fosters better student engagement, academic excellence, and a positive culture—values that are similar to Stratix's Core Values. Louis says nothing empowers individuals and lifts communities like the advantages of a good education, and he wants to see everyone get the opportunity to receive one.
